ShowFonts Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShowFonts, a macOS application ("the Software") provided by ShowFonts ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, activating, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Software.

1. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of the applicable license fee, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use ShowFonts on Mac computers that you own or control, up to the activation limit associated with your license key (currently three devices per license).

2. Free Trial

ShowFonts is offered with a free seven (7) day evaluation period. The trial begins automatically when you first launch the Software. During the trial you may use all features of ShowFonts at no cost. At the end of the trial period, continued use of the Software requires the purchase of a valid license key.

You may only initiate the trial once per device. Attempting to circumvent the trial period by reinstalling the Software, clearing system data, or modifying system settings is a violation of these Terms.

Each license key may be activated on up to three (3) Mac devices. You are responsible for managing your activations through your license dashboard. If you reach the activation limit, you may deactivate a previous device to free up an activation slot.

We reserve the right to deactivate license keys that show evidence of abuse, including but not limited to keys shared with multiple users, keys activated on machines outside your ownership or control, or keys associated with fraudulent transactions.

5. Updates and Maintenance

Your license includes free updates to ShowFonts within the 1.x major version series. Major version upgrades (for example, version 2.0) may require purchasing a new license at our discretion. We may release updates that change, add, or remove features at any time without prior notice.

We are not obligated to maintain or support older versions of the Software once a newer version has been released.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a fourteen (14) day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. If you are not satisfied with ShowFonts within this period, you may request a refund by contacting us at hello@showfonts.com. Refunds are processed through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, and may take several business days to appear on your statement.

Refund requests submitted more than fourteen (14) days after purchase will be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.

7. Intellectual Property

ShowFonts, including all source code, design, branding, documentation, and related materials, is the exclusive property of ShowFonts and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited license to use the Software but do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

Third-party fonts, presentation files, or other content that you process with ShowFonts remain your property or the property of their respective owners. We claim no ownership over the content you use the Software to scan or package.

8. User Content and Privacy

ShowFonts processes presentation files and font data locally on your Mac. We do not collect, transmit, or store the contents of your files. For complete details, please review our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ShowFonts is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. You assume the entire risk of using the Software, including any failure to identify fonts accurately, package files correctly, or be compatible with specific presentations or systems.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShowFonts and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, presentations, fonts, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate the Terms at any time by uninstalling the Software and deleting all copies. We may terminate or suspend your license immediately, without notice, if you breach any provision of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Software ceases, and you must uninstall and destroy all copies in your possession. Sections 3, 7, 9, 10, and 12 shall survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer of ShowFonts resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available at this address. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Software after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
